Trauma & PTSD

What happened to you was real, and healing is too

If painful memories keep pulling you back, or your body reacts to things that remind you of the past, that's a normal response to something that was not okay. Trauma changes how we feel safe, but with support, that sense of safety can be rebuilt. You are not broken, and you don't have to heal alone.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Check anything that resonates with you. This is just for you — nothing is saved or shared.

What's Really Going On

Trauma is your mind and body's response to overwhelming or frightening experiences. Long after the event, your nervous system can stay on high alert, as if the danger is still present. These reactions are protective instincts, not signs that something is wrong with you.

Signs You Might Notice

You might experience flashbacks, nightmares, or sudden waves of fear. Feeling constantly on guard, easily startled, or emotionally numb is common. Many people also avoid reminders of what happened, which can make daily life feel limited.

How LIAH Can Help

Healing from trauma happens best in safe, supportive relationships. LIAH helps you move out of isolation and into connection with people who understand and care. We walk with you gently, at a pace that feels safe for you.

Your First Step

You don't have to relive or explain everything to get support. Simply reaching out is a courageous step toward feeling safe again. We're here whenever you're ready.

Things You Can Try Today

  • When overwhelmed, press your feet into the floor and notice you are here, now.
  • Keep a comforting object or grounding routine nearby for hard moments.
  • Let yourself rest; healing takes real energy.
  • Share your story only with people who feel safe, and only when you're ready.

You deserve to feel safe again

Our team is ready to listen, without judgment. Take one small step from isolation toward real, in-person support.
